My first client

My first ever client was back in may when I started putting my portfolio together and I can say it went very well. Thanks to Amy who put up with me as I was unsure with direction and suggestions. The photos were fantastic from this day as this was my first proper photo-shoot. Now looking back on photographs I have produced I know I have developed more skill and gotten better along the way. I still use my first ever shoot in my portfolio as the quality is to a standard.

Now about Amy: I met Amy at a shoot where I was working behind the scenes for a friends clothing range and we just got on well. Amy is a beautiful stunning girl who is very confident and she only needed a little direction on the day of the photo-shoot I done with her. She knew all the right angles, expressions and movements which amazed me that she has only done few modelling shoots. I would defiantly work with Amy again and I was pleased that she was my first ever client and I was very happy that my first photo-shoot went so smoothly :)

My Final Project Pt 2

The second part of my assignment was to make a website showcasing my 12 photographs from part 1. This section of the course i fully enjoyed as i could design any type of website i wanted and pick a particular style which reflected my personality.

(The website that is about to be shown is not an official website. This was just made in dream weaver without being put onto the web) I am currently working on a website at the moment so when my website is done i will fully announce =]

The first page was my index which i wanted to create a teaser of photographs to make the audience enter my website to see these photographs up close.

The next was my home page which i used a photograph of myself walking away further into the distance with the words "Come and follow me through the extraordinary vision of imagination" which reflected the style of photographs i had created.

The online gallery was the most irritating page of all because this page had to be created 12 times with the 12 different photographs within the thumbnail which had to be relinked many times. I like the outcome of this page as i think its set out differently to other websites with the thumbnails being above the photograph all in center.

The next page which i think looked the messiest was my artist statement (manifesto) which the majority of photographers have on their websites.

My biography page turned out better than i imagined with having a good selection of photograph which went with the page well. I liked how i have used a candid photograph which reflects people my personality and sense of humour.

The last page was my contacts which i wanted to use a selection of details with a photograph on the page so the page doesnt seem blank and empty.

My Final Project Pt 1

In my final year of university i mentioned my assignment just before i disappeared. Now i can share with you my final idea i done and submitted along with a website i designed to showcase my photographs as an online gallery.

My origional idea (Alice in wonderland) didnt go to plan as i wanted to do something different as that style of photography is quite common so with me being from liverpool i wanted to collaborate the elements within my final project.

The 12 photographs consist of the same idea i had but using Liverpool landmarks as my main backdrop/concept for these photos.

The Albert Dock

The Anglican Cathedral

The Catholic Cathedral

Liverpool Empire Theatre

Liverpool Echo Arena

Liverpool Museum

Liverpool Liver Building

Liverpool Lime Street

Liverpool Tunnel

Radio City

Liverpool Royal Court

St Georges Hall

I'm Back!!!

Hiii everybody! I am back from a very busy couple of months! I was so busy finishing my studies and now i can proudly say i graduate on Wednesday (20/07/2011) after getting a 2:1 on my Media degree :D

Since finishing university i have bought myself a camera and other equipment to start up my own photography business. I have been learning how to use it and i am still learning now along the way but i love it! I am still coming out of my shell with using directions on my models as direction can be quite tricky when first starting out as a photographer.

I have loads of stuff to catch up on which i will be sharing with you along the way sharing the ups and downs of transforming myself into a pro photographer.
